Things that make you go hmm: Japanese Minister Commits Suicide Today
Published by hasan May 29th, 2007 in Japan.Scandal-Riddled Minister of Agriculture Toshikatsu Matsuoka committed suicide earlier today (click here for more info). From what I understand, he was to be grilled over his involvement over mismanaging pension premiums; pension funds are one of those things you do not want to mess with in an aging society such as Japan. This is the first suicide by a Japanese minister since the days following Japan’s defeat to the United States in World War 2.
It’s just one of those things that “make you go hmm”, wouldn’t you think?
