unclassifieds in small-case letters
Published by hasan November 2nd, 2006 in daily life.some guy lost his pet crow that goes by the name karas (which is japanese for “crow”, by the way) here in kunitachi. i know this because there is a notice in the closest convenience store to where i live. assuming that the flyer isn’t a joke, or a technique to pick up girls, i wonder what circumstances led to him owning a pet crow in the first place and what circumstances led to the eventual escape of the pet crow. i would like to understand the whole story so that i can figure out who to root for; the crow or the now-lonely crow-owner. if the crow was just an innocent bird that never poked holes in garbage bags and kept the city streets clean, then i’d root for the crow. however, if the crow was a dinosaur-sized-meat-eating crow that swiped children off the streets to feed on them, then, i sure hope that it is caught.
Also.
- i bought a white fleece sweater today in kichijouji. white fleece - just like a sheep. too bad i missed halloween by one day.
- i also picked up a copy of sean lennon’s new album “friendly fire”. groovy music to say the least. the term “friendly fire” is slightly disturbing because it gives me flashbacks of playing video games in the 80s and 90s. i was always a victim of “friendly fire”. video games suck, but sean lennon’s new album doesn’t suck.
- mahmood’s den is still blocked after an order from bahrain’s ministry of information. this means that internet users in bahrain - theoretically - cannot access his blog (although there are ways to get around these blocks). mahmood’s den is one of the most influential and interesting blogs in/from bahrain. it has also received a lot of world recognition. not good news for bloggers and human rights activists both in and outside of bahrain. please note that this block came despite bahrain’s constitution “guaranteeing” freedom of speech.. *cough cough cough*.
- all my neighbours are still missing. also, my landlady seems fatter than before. i hope she didn’t eat them all.
