Return of the Champions, Funny Mostaches and Other Tales
Published by hasan October 31st, 2005 in Concert, daily life.1. On Wednesday of last week, my childhood dream of seeing Queen in concert came true. Of course, Freddie Mercury could not be there to sing (sadly), but Paul Rogers did a pretty good job. Also, the other members of Queen did a great job playing beautiful music; a celebration of a wonderful band. I bought my first Queen tape in the 5th grade, and when I was FIRST given a CD player for my 12th birthday, I bought Queen’s “A Kind of Magic”. Since then, I’ve been hooked. Great music. It’s QUEEN, need I say more?!
2. On Friday, a friend of Bahrain was visiting Tokyo, and so were the National Leaders for the upcoming Ship for World Youth program. We went to an Iranian Restaurant in Roppongi Hills called “ALLADIN” and had a great time together. The Swedish National Leader, a very cheerful and smart guy, had a funny mostache to say the least. He explained to us how he waxed the tips EVERY morning, to give it that “EVIL” shape, know what I mean?
3. I FINALLY had my FIRST Hamburger in Japan since arriving here in April! I REALLY wanted fast food, so, I decided to go to MOS Burger for something to eat. For those who don’t know, MOS Burger, is Japan’s version of a fine burger experience. I had a hamburger, with FRESH meat, covered in slices of AVOCADO, and some WASSABI. It was GREAT. WOOHOO. I am a happy Bahrain right now.
That’s all. I better get some sleep soon
