Silence before the Storm

Well, it’s 4.30pm here, and all of us here in the lovely Kunitachi city are anxiously waiting for the first typhoon of the year. It’s been raining hard since last night, but, that was just a glimpse of the typhoon to come. It is suddenly quiet right now, which I guess is a sign that something big is coming. I just came back from the local grocery and did some shopping, to stock up on dinner (and breakfast before my big exam tomorrow).

Speaking of silence before the storm, I have another storm to face; the big Japanese langauge exam I have been complaining about for a while. I studied a lot, but I still feel I know nothing. Hopefully all the hard work I put in since April will pay off at tomorrow’s exam. For now, I’m gonna have to shut my laptop and get serious about the exam.

With all the rain, though, I hope I don’t have to swim all the way to class.

Wish me luck.
