Another long week, over.

Hmmm, so it’s Friday night here in the busy city of Tokyo. I just decided to take it easy this evening, stay in the dorm and relax after a very tiring week in class. In the morning, I am going with a group of international students to attend a Sumo Wrestling practice in a little town one hour away from Kunitachi. I have to be at Kunitachi Station by 6.40am. I haven’t woken up that early since HIGHSCHOOL. Tomorrow night, and the day after, I wll be spending my time with some friends from the Ship for World Youth program I was on last year. Some friends from outside of the Tokyo area will be visiting; so, I will take the chance to see some good friends once again. I am excited, but I will definately be exhausted by the end of the weekend.

I’ve also been putting some extra thought into my research proposal. I have a big entrance exam to take in February, and to be honest, I am a little worried about it. I hope I do well. I have already begun reviewing.

I realize that my intensive Japanese language course will be finishing on July 27th. I have around one month left. This intensive course has been great - I learned so many things, and became good friends with my classmates, but as the name suggests; it is very intense. Spending around 7 hours in class every day, constantly learning new terms, Chinese characters and grammer is a little tiring. There are times in which I feel a little frustrated because I am still not as confident as I hope to be in using the language, but, every once in a while, when I try to use what Japanese words I just learned in class, and I am able to communicate with some Japanese, I suddenly feel happy and want to try to study harder.

Also, I need to think more about my suggested research proposal and whether I am on the right track or not. I will talk more about this once I have a more clear thought about the whole ordeal.
