Another long day of studying
Published by hasan May 18th, 2005 in Japan, daily life, dorm.
Today, was another day of intense studying. This, however, is a welcome ritual because it keeps me focused on what I am here in Japan to do. Last week, however, I had a difficult time being able to get any sleep, which made it very difficult for me to get any revision done. Every night of last week, I used to only be able to fall asleep at around 4.00am, and I was wide awake by 7.30am the following, erm, same morning. Last night I fell asleep while trying to review Japanese grammer. Ah, how embarrassing. At least I finally got some sleep.
I have a big exam tomorrow; the grammer of 7 chapters, and the terms of 4 chapters. I spent around 5 hours just making sure I understood everything. My head feels a little heavy now; and I am affraid I will forget what I have studied when I wake up at 7.30am.
Today, the only exciting thing I did was talk to the admin of the dormitory I live in about Bahrain and my opinion of current events in the Middle East. Two very nice ladies. I also played a little music for them on the Oud. It is always fun to share what you enjoy with others. It really is nice to be living in a building in which people are actually interested in learning about the diversity the others bring to their lives. People here are so nice and respectful; I am very lucky to be here.
Anyways, wish me luck with my exam tomorrow. I just hope that I don’t forget everything I read today. SAVE ME!!!
